NDRN submitted comments to the issuance of an interim final rule put out by the Department of Housing and Urban Development that is working to assist tenants in accessing Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) program funds. Despite the ERA resources provided in COVID-19 legislation, few Americans have been able to access the funds. The interim final rule calls for more steps to be taken to educate tenants on the ERA program. However, NDRN submitted comments expressing concerns that the interim final rule does not do enough to assist tenants with disabilities to access the resource.
