NDRN believes hate has no place in American communities. We successfully advocated for disability to be included as a protected status in the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009. We continue to work on the national level to strengthen legislation and public policy protecting people with disabilities - all Americans - from hate.
