Senior Staff Attorney

Kevin Truitt (he/his/him) joined NDRN in 2026 as a Senior Staff Attorney covering Medicaid, Olmstead and other community integration matters.  Kevin was with Disability Rights Ohio for over 15 years, including as the legal advocacy director, and was most recently with Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio. He also teaches a seminar at the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law entitled “Topics in Disability Law and Policy.” Kevin is passionate about advocating for robust community service systems that can lead to fuller, more integrated lives for people with disabilities and prevent harmful outcomes like institutionalization, incarceration, segregation, police violence, and homelessness. He is also a strong believer in disability justice and the principles of intersectionality. Kevin’s own lived experience with invisible disabilities has shaped his perspectives and drives him to fight for a better world for all
