Communications Specialist

Hira Azher (she/her) serves as a Communications Specialist for NDRN. She creates engaging and accessible digital content, supports NDRN’s media relations and outreach, and focuses on inclusive storytelling. Hira has been working in the Protection and Advocacy network since 2021, starting as a Communications Coordinator at the disAbility Law Center of Virginia. She earned her undergraduate degrees in Anthropology and Global Development Studies from the University of Virginia in 2021 and graduated with her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University in 2023. As an AuDHD woman of color, Hira is deeply passionate about intersectionality, neuroaffirming care, and authentic community building.
