The Department of Health and Human Services proposed a change in the rules governing nondiscrimination protections of the Affordable Care Act that would harm individuals with disabilities and their family members. The National Disability Rights Network’s comments demonstrate the problems with the proposal using examples from our members, the Protection and Advocacy agencies, and urge the Department to not finalize these rules in whole or in part.
