As an active member of the Consortium of Citizens with Disabilities (CCD), NDRN co-authored comments in response to a Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Request for Information (RFI) The RFI sought areas of concern related to transit safety in numerous forms of transportation, such as buses and railroads. After collecting these topic areas, the FTA intends to do further analysis on how to make public transit safer for all passengers. The CCD task force, which is a cross-disability group, highlighted areas of safety concerns specifically pertinent to passengers with disabilities.
