NDRN Sends Letter to U.S. Department of Education in Anticipation of Report on Waivers

On April 6, 2020, the National Disability Rights Network (NDRN) sent a letter to U.S. Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos, with the clear message that no additional waivers are needed under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) or Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Rehab Act).

This letter was sent in anticipation of the Secretary of Education’s report on the Department feels are necessary under the IDEA and the Rehab Act during COVID-19. This report was directed by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and. Economic Security Act (CARES Act).
