NDRN joined 14 other leading disability rights organizations in an amicus brief filed on April 1, 2019, addressing the importance of the Affordable Care Act provisions for people with a wide range of disabilities. The case challenges the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act.
On December 18, 2019, the Fifth Circuit in Texas v. U.S., 945 F.3d 355 found that the individual mandate in the Affordable Care Act, as amended by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, unconstitutional.
