On February 6, 2020, NDRN joined the California P&A, the Oregon P&A and five other national disability rights organizations in an amicus brief authored by Disability Rights California in Doe v. Trump, (9th Cir.) in support of a challenge to Presidential Proclamation No. 9945, titled “Presidential Proclamation of the Suspension of Entry of Immigrants Who Will Financially Burden the United States Healthcare System” issued on October 4, 2019. A Latino organization and five named and anonymous individual plaintiffs filed suit challenging the Proclamation in Oregon district court and the district court granted a preliminary injunction enjoining implementation of the Proclamation. The government appealed to the Ninth Circuit and the amicus supports plaintiffs.
