On May 13, 2020, NDRN joined 18 other disability rights organizations in an amicus filed in the U.S. Supreme Court in California v. Texas regarding the constitutionality and severability of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and highlighting how a number of ACA provisions are critical in providing health care to people with disabilities. The amicus brief also addressed how the Medicaid expansion in the ACA provides people with disabilities better, and sometimes unprecedented access to health care.
