NDRN and Allies Urge the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to Move Rule-Making Process Forward

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is considering new rules to make rental cars more readily available for persons with disabilities. However, the rule-making process has stalled, leaving car renters with disabilities without full access to vehicles.

As a result, Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA), the National Disability Rights Network (NDRN), the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL), the Disability Rights and Education Fund (DREDF), and Enterprise Holdings, Inc. (EHI) collaborated on a letter to NHTSA to urge the agency to move forward with the rule-making process.
