Disability Rights Ohio Works to Stop the Spread in Jails and Prisons

Disability Rights Ohio sent letters on April 9, 2020, and April 13, 2020, to their Governor advocating that action be taken to stop the spread of COVID-19 in jails and prisons.

On April 17, 2020, an amicus brief was filed by Disability Rights Ohio in support of a case filed by several prisoners represented by the ACLU to advocate for measures including release to be taken to protect individuals with disabilities in the Elkton Federal Correctional Institution, a low security federal correctional facility.
