On April 15, 2020, the Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) Education Task Force held a webinar entitled COVID-19 & Students with Disabilities: The Danger of IDEA Waivers which discussed the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and how it provides critical protections for students with disabilities, even during COVID-19. The webinar highlighted the existing flexibilities in the IDEA that can help schools keep educating students with disabilities.
