People with disabilities too often find an absence of justice in a system that ignores their needs. NDRN believes every American has the right to access our nation's justice system. NDRN and the Protection and Advocacy (P&A) Network work to improve conditions in correctional institutions and during the re-entry process that address disability-related issues.

    NDRN Joins Amicus in Solitary Confinement Case

    July 19, 2019

    NDRN joined an amicus authored by the firm Ropes and Gray pro bono supports a complaint filed by Disability Rights Montana, alleging that the Montana Dept. of Corrections violated the Eighth Amendment by providing inadequate mental health treatment, inappropriate discipline and placing prisoners with mental illness in solitary confinement.
