Public Policy Intern

Public Policy

Wendy Ihama joined NDRN as a Public Policy Intern in January 2021. Wendy assists the public policy team with appropriations related work and policy research, and attends various coalition and task force meetings. In December 2019, Wendy graduated from the Borough of Manhattan Community College as an Out in Two scholar, receiving her Associates’s Degree. She now attends The City College of New York majoring in International Studies with a minor in Public Policy and Human Rights at the Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership. Wendy is community-oriented, interested in mental health outreach, and hopes to better understand how policy implementation impacts the rights of people with disabilities through her NDRN internship experience.
