Guide Dog

Public Policy

Tulane is a trained guide dog who graduated from Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB) in San Rafael, California, in June of 2019 with her handler, Claire Stanley. As a proud guide dog, Tulane travels to Capitol Hill routinely to advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities. As a service animal, she assists in advocating for the enforcement of the Americans with Disabilities Act, which includes her right to accompany her handler into public places as a trained service dog. She began her early training with a family in the Pleasanton Puppy Raisers club and then went onto GDB to pass all eight levels of training.
