Public Policy Intern
Since June 2019, Jordyn Zimmerman has been serving as a public policy intern at NDRN. Projects that Jordyn is involved in include issues related to autism, education, and criminal justice.
As a non-speaking autistic individual, Jordyn has worked to be an avid champion for others. After technology gave her a voice, she began advocating through a series of speaking engagements; presenting at schools and conferences around the world.
Jordyn is currently a rising senior at Ohio University, where she is working towards her B.S. degree in education policy. She is also pursuing a minor in communication studies and a certificate in law, justice, & culture. Outside of academics, Jordyn co-chairs the Hillel International Student Cabinet and is a member of Ohio University Student Senate. She also founded the Ohio University Sparkle Effect team; the seventh inclusive cheer team at the collegiate level and an organization that promotes school spirit and inclusion across the community.
