JooHee Kong is a J.D. candidate at the Syracuse University College of Law. As a legal intern at NDRN, she works on various vocational rehabilitation and education matters and assists with the planning of an upcoming national guardianship summit.
JooHee is a licensed lawyer in South Korea and worked as an in-house counsel at Shinsegae Corp. for two years. After her child was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and her country did not provide enough support for persons with disabilities, JooHee decided to become a disability rights attorney. JooHee hopes to learn more about disability rights in the United States to help urge her country’s government to support persons with disabilities in more appropriate ways.
JooHee earned her B.A. in Law from Ewha Womans University in Seoul, passed the bar exam, and graduated from the Judicial Research and Training Institute in South Korea. She earned her LL.M degree from Syracuse University College of Law.
