Voter Engagement Specialist

Emily Kranking is delighted to be in the voting rights movement with NDRN. Using her background in strategic communications, graphic and web design, and disability advocacy, Emily will reach the local community with outreach campaigns and all types of visual communications. She has previously focused on voting rights at National Associations of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD) as the Communications Consultant for their One Vote Now campaign.

Other workplaces include DC Developmental Disabilities Council and RespectAbility. Emily holds degrees in Graphic Design from Howard Community College and Media and Communications Studies from University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Disability Studies at the City University of New York, where she hopes to work on all types of disability issues afterwards. Emily herself is disabled with cerebral palsy. Her end goal is to use her advocacy to help all disabled people in everything she does.
