Public Policy Intern
Brahmjot joined NDRN in January 2021 as a Public Policy Intern. She assists the public policy team with policy research, data entry, and any timely assignments like appropriations forms. She is in her final year at the City College of New York where she is studying political science and journalism. She was previously a Caucus CUNY Scholar participant where she interned with NY State Assemblyman Al Taylor. She also completed internships with the New York Public Interest Research Group and New York Public Radio. Her experiences provided a deep understanding of the current political climate. Brahmjot is passionate about human rights—especially rights for people with disabilities. She is eager to further understand how policies can be applied to improve disability rights in the United States.
