Aikeo “Keo” Koomanivong is a YSEALI Professional Fellow from Lao People’s Democratic Republic. Keo is a blind leader who has been working to promote and protect rights for people with disabilities since 2008. Keo specializes in assistive device technology and software. He is a founder of the Disability Service Center in Laos, and he is also working on a high-inclusive education project at the National University of Lao (NUOL). Keo plans to learn from NDRN and the Protection & Advocacy system for people with disabilities in the U.S. to enhance his disability advocacy work in Lao PDR.
