Crowell v. Massachusetts Parole Board, Supreme Judicial Court
On January 3, 2017, NDRN joined the ACLU of Massachusetts and others in an amicus brief in the Supreme Judicial Court, the state’s highest court, arguing that ADA applies to the activities of a state parole board.
In May 15, 2017, the court issued a favorable opinion. Although the court remanded on procedural grounds, it offered some observations about the application of the ADA to parole, relying in part on this amicus brief.
