Michigan Protection and Advocacy Service, Inc. (MPAS) has an immediate opening for a full-time Director of Advocacy Service located in our Lansing office.  This position provides leadership and direction to the Community and Institutional Rights (CAIR) Team responsible for providing direct advocacy representation to individuals with disabilities experiencing abuse/neglect, violation of their rights, and/or issues in accessing or receiving services.


Bachelor’s degree in a human service-related field, or equivalent education and experience. Six to eight years of related human service or legal experience including experience working with disability rights and supervisory responsibilities. The preferred candidate will possess a juris doctor degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the Michigan State Bar or eligibility for admission.


Annual salary range:  $65,000 – $80,000 depending on education and experience.
