Speakers will provide information about the dangers of misuse of anti-psychotics and the extent of the problem in nursing facilities. Both participants and presenters will be able to share P&A and LTCO advocacy strategies to identify and reduce the misuse of psychotropic drugs in nursing facilities, especially for people with dementia. Lastly, speakers will offer strategies and solutions to equip consumers and advocates with the tools and knowledge to advocate for good care without the use of these drugs.
