The Advocacy Center for Persons
with Disabilities, Inc. has an opening for a Senior Advocate/Investigator. The
Senior Advocate/Investigator works as part of an interdisciplinary team
investigating possible violations of the rights of individuals with disabilities
in institutional and community settings and advocating to ensure
recognition of the rights of children and adults with disabilities in all
aspects of daily life. The ideal candidate would possess a law degree or a
Masters degree in social work, mental health counseling, education, nursing or
related professions and have significant experience in investigations and
advocacy in the public interest. Experience in related fields may be considered
as a substitute for educational requirements beyond a bachelors
degree. This position is located in our Tallahassee, FL office. A favorable
