    Why NDRN Was Created

    Page last updated: 6/25/04

    NDRN WAS CREATED TO:

    • facilitate coordination of its members;
    • represent the needs of members before federal agencies and Congress; and
    • provide technical assistance and training to member agencies, which enhance their effectiveness on the state and local level.

    NDRN has daily contact with P&As and CAPs nationally and has provided training and technical assistance to its members since its inception as the National Association of Protection and Advocacy Systems (NAPAS). NDRN's goals and activities are based on its understanding of the needs and capacities of the P&A/CAP network.

    NDRN is a non-profit membership organization chartered by the State of Florida in 1983. It is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501 c (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
